1 About this policy
This policy explains how PulseOut handles information when you use the PulseOut iPhone app, its widgets, and support website. By using PulseOut, you acknowledge these practices.
2 Information kept on your device
PulseOut stores onboarding status, settings, haptic choices, rescue history, elapsed time, volume ranges, ratings, remaining symptoms, statistics, saved tone presets, and the selected default tone on your iPhone. PulseOut does not create an account or send this information to PulseOut servers.
3 Microphone and sound level
Microphone access is requested only after you choose Continue in Sound Level. Continue opens the iOS permission request, where you decide whether to grant access. Samples are processed in memory to estimate sound pressure level and are discarded immediately. PulseOut does not save, transmit, or share recordings. You may revoke microphone permission at any time in iOS Settings. Sound Level is an estimate and is not a certified sound-level meter.
4 Purchases
The 60-second Standard Rescue remains free with no usage limit. Apple processes the optional lifetime PulseOut Pro purchase, payment, receipt, and restoration through StoreKit under Apple’s policies. PulseOut reads verified transaction identifiers, product identifiers, purchase dates, and entitlement or revocation status only as needed to unlock features. PulseOut does not receive your payment-card details and does not offer a subscription or recurring charge.
5 Exports, support, and external links
History is shared only when you deliberately export a CSV or JSON report through the iOS share sheet. If you contact support, your mail provider and PulseOut receive the information you choose to include. Links to Apple guidance and this online policy open external services governed by their own policies.
6 Service providers and sharing
PulseOut does not sell personal information. Apple provides StoreKit, GitHub Pages hosts this public policy, and your email provider handles messages you initiate. These providers receive only the information necessary to perform those functions and are expected to protect it consistently with their terms and applicable law.
7 Retention and deletion
Local settings and history remain until you clear them, reset the app, or uninstall PulseOut. The app provides a Clear session history action. Apple retains purchase records according to Apple’s policies. Support email may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer and document the request.
8 Security and international processing
PulseOut minimizes transmitted information. Apple, GitHub, and email services may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable safeguards. No method of electronic processing is completely risk-free.
9 Children
PulseOut is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because PulseOut has no account, advertising, or analytics, it does not build child profiles. A parent or guardian may contact PulseOut with any concern.
10 Your choices and rights
You can deny or revoke microphone access, clear session history, remove saved tones, choose not to export, dismiss all purchase screens, continue using the free 60-second Rescue, or uninstall the app. Because PulseOut does not maintain user accounts or a personal-data database, it normally has no profile to access or delete. You may contact PulseOut with a privacy inquiry or a request relating to information you supplied through support.
11 Policy changes and contact
PulseOut may update this policy when features, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date in the app and online. Privacy questions may be sent to ronvaisman@gmail.com with the subject “PulseOut Privacy.”
