Privacy Policy

Remote One is designed so TV commands and saved-device details stay between your iPhone and devices on your local network.

Overview

Remote One controls compatible TVs and streaming devices on the same local network. Ron Vaisman operates Remote One and does not operate a server that receives your remote commands or saved local-network device list in version 1.0.

Information stored on your device

Remote One stores onboarding and haptic preferences; discovered or manually entered TV name, model, local IP address, port, and last-connected time; the selected TV; an Android or Google TV client key and self-signed pairing certificate in the iOS Keychain; and App Store entitlement state supplied by StoreKit.

Local network access

With your permission, Remote One searches the local network for compatible devices and sends commands directly to the selected device. Android or Google TV pairing codes are exchanged directly with the television. Remote One does not upload the code, private pairing key, or remote commands to an operator server. Apple TV discovery identifies the nearby device and presents Apple’s supported system-remote instructions.

Purchases

Lifetime Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Remote One uses StoreKit to request localized product information and determine entitlement. Apple processes payment and account information under its own terms and privacy policy; Ron Vaisman does not receive your full payment-card details.

Advertising and consent

The free version may show a Google AdMob banner on device discovery. Ads are never displayed on the remote-control surface. Version 1.0 disables ad personalization and Google’s publisher first-party ID. Google and its partners may still process device identifiers, IP address, general location derived from IP, ad interactions, diagnostics, and related data for ad delivery, frequency capping, reporting, and fraud prevention.

Remote One uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request or manage advertising consent where required. When required, a privacy-options entry appears in Settings. Purchasing Remote One Pro removes advertising. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Diagnostics

Version 1.0 does not include a separate behavioral analytics SDK operated by Ron Vaisman. Apple, Google Mobile Ads, the operating system, and distribution services may provide aggregated crash, performance, purchase, and advertising reports under their respective terms and your device and privacy choices.

Retention and deletion

Saved-TV and preference information remains in the app’s local storage until you forget the TV, reset app data, or delete the app. Purchase records are retained by Apple. Advertising data is retained by Google and its partners under their applicable policies and consent settings.

For a privacy request concerning data controlled by Ron Vaisman, email ronvaisman@gmail.com. Because version 1.0 has no Remote One account and does not upload your saved TV list, the operator may have no account record to identify or delete.

Children

Remote One is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under the age required for independent consent in their jurisdiction. Ad content is capped at Google’s General rating.

Changes

This policy may change when features, service providers, laws, or data practices change. The published policy will show its effective date.
