Does TalkTidy really work without the internet?
Yes. Recording, transcription, and AI structuring all run on your iPhone. TalkTidy works fully in airplane mode. The only thing that ever touches the network is an optional iCloud backup of your own notes, which only you can read.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login, and no account of any kind. Open the app and start recording.
Is there a subscription?
No. TalkTidy is a one-time purchase. Recording, transcription, search, export, and the Summary format are free. TalkTidy Forever is a single payment that unlocks the other AI formats, file and photo import, rich-text formatting, and Word export. It is family shareable, and there is nothing to cancel.
Which devices and iOS version are supported?
TalkTidy is built for iOS 26. Recording, transcription, search, and export work across supported iPhones. The AI formatting features use Apple Intelligence and require an Apple Intelligence capable iPhone; on other devices the app clearly explains which features are unavailable and everything else keeps working.
Why does the app ask for microphone, speech, notifications, location, or photos?
Microphone and Speech Recognition are used to record and transcribe your notes. Notifications deliver your reminders. Location is requested only when you set a location-based reminder. Photo Library is requested only when you choose to attach a photo. None of this data is sent anywhere.
Can I lose a recording?
TalkTidy writes every recording to disk from the very first second, so a crash, a dead battery, or a closed app never costs you a note. If the app is interrupted, your audio is recovered the next time you open it.
How do I back up or move my notes to a new iPhone?
In Settings, use the iCloud backup option to save a copy to your own private iCloud. On a new phone, sign into the same iCloud account and choose Restore to bring everything back. TalkTidy has no servers and cannot see your backup.
How do I export a note?
Open a note, tap the menu, and choose Export. You can share as Markdown, plain text, or a real Word document that keeps your formatting.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Settings inside TalkTidy and tap Restore purchase. Your TalkTidy Forever unlock is tied to your Apple ID and comes back on any device you sign in with.
